Steve Nallon

An event devoted to political satire wouldn’t be complete without an appearance from the Iron Lady himself. Impressionist, comedian, writer, actor and lecturer, Steve Nallon was a founding member of Spitting Image and famously provided the voice of Maggie Thatcher (among others). Steve has impersonated an array of politicians and celebrities on television programmes such as Harry Hill’s TV Burp and Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression. His writing credits span theatre, radio and literature, with shows such as Props, The Nallon Tapes and The Ghost of Number Ten (both broadcast on BBC Radio 4), and the spoof Thatcher autobiography of I, Margaret. Steve’s celebrated comic performances encompass numerous television, film and radio productions – his impersonations of Mrs Thatcher even being described by The Times as the “industry standard.” And he is currently revisiting his most famous role in a play set in the Thatcher era, Dead Sheep, running at The Park theatre in Finsbury Park this April and until May 9th.
